Former Ealing resident (now living in Australia) Connie Sullivan has sent us the school photo below with a bit of a difference.

It’s from Grange School in 1956 and shows (amongst the other youngsters) a fresh faced budding musician — John McVie, the Mac part of Fleetwood Mac (pictured on the bottom row) sat near teacher Mr Veux’s right leg)

John later moved onto Walpole Grammar School.

He joined Fleetwood Mac shortly after its formation by guitarist Peter Green in 1967, and has played with them constantly.

The band are due to perform in London, with guest appearance from ex-wife Christine Mcvie on September 25th and 27th.

Connie says: ” Michael Bath also in the photo sent it to me a few years ago. I was in the next class photo taken the same day in the same place.I wonder if any others in the photo would like to make contact? I can remember quite a few of them too. John was then 9 and I was 10.”

If you have any memories about the school or your famous classmate discuss on the forum.
